I got one a few months ago, because I was tired of having wires all over my body during my training sessions at the gym. My iPod had already fallen a couple of times after my earbud cord got caught on the machines... And I wasn't the only one: I saw other people complaining and trying to manage the problem by either holding their iPod or using armbands, lanyard, etc. Nothing worked successfully.
Then I came across iXoundWear (at that time called iSoundCap - I saw one of their ads on paper). I was a little skeptical, but I decided to give it a shot: what a difference!
The iPod fits snuggly in the pocket, and the hat is so comfortable, you can't even tell the player is next to your head. The wires are wrapped up and held in place by a second pocket. Just a few inches of wire come down from the hat to the ears; therefore wires never get in your way. Very cool!
My only complaint is that the fabric is not very breathable, especially for people who sweat a lot. Apparently ixoundwear recently came out with a running cap, made out of mesh or a somehow breathable fabric... May be I should have gotten that one...
Overall, I'm very satisfied and I recommend this product.

Koss KSC22 DVD Sportclip Headphones Customer Review

I just bought my third pair of these headphones! I can't find anything better for my needs - a good fitting earclip. They have only lasted about 5-6 months each, but the price has been reasonable (-20 each over the past two years), so I don't mind replacing them. I put my headphones through a lot of abuse, and they hold up decently considering.

The best part of these headphones: the earclip has a strong wire at the core, covered in a soft plastic/rubber, so I can mold them to fit my tiny ears perfectly! I have never found headphones with a better earclip - others I have bought (at stores) either have no strong wire at the core or are not easy to shape to fit the ear.

Plus, the part that goes into the ear doesn't go all the way inside and is padded, so my ears don't hurt after long music sessions. Earbud fans who want the earpiece to go all the way into the ear might not be happy with these headphones, but I find earbuds irritating in my ears, so these are a welcome change.

The first versions I got were red and black, very simple, while the one I just received (July 2009) is the same design, only it is now blue and white, with the added bonus of a slim/sleek volume control toggle on the cord.

Note: If these are still listed as unavailable, and you want a pair, you might look at the Koss ClipperO headphones listed on Amazon - they look almost the same, though I can't vouch for them specifically.

I'm not an expert on sound, but I have never been unhappy with the sound quality, though I can't say I have high standards.

These earbuds were my first real earbud purchase - I had always relied on the Apple headphones my iPod came with. Those earphones always fell apart or blew out. These earbuds were great the first time I wore them - I could hear multiple things in the music that I've never heard before. Another downside to the Apple earbuds is the discomfort in the ears, unlike these. Since I'm still just a teenager, I loved wearing these earbuds, which fit perfectly in my ears! They are also really pretty, if I do say so myself, all of my friends were commenting on how they were so cute and nice looking! One of the earbud cords was about half the length of the other earbud cord, though, which I thought was weird. They weren't the same length, and therefore, are kind of hard to wrap around the iPod when not in use. I completely recommend them to anyone wanting great earbuds for a great price!

At first I made my own short headphone cable and clipped my shuffle to my rear shirt collar, but I kept having the solder connections fail so I gave in and ordered a pair of Arriva headphones. After having had them for a couple weeks, I wish I had done so right from the start! It took only a couple minutes to get a comfortable fit and this standard size works fine with my bigger than average head. It is so comfortable that it's easy to forget you're wearing them, yet it stayed attached even when I tested it by quickly whipping my head back and forth. It comes with several sizes of rubber boots for the earbuds so you can choose which are comfortable and also how much external noise to screen out. Using the controls while not being able to see them is very easy, especially since it's orientated so that up is louder, down is softer, left is previous and right is next. Since that fits in with both the typical vertical volume adjustment scheme and the left to right reading direction it's very intuitive. Short of these headphones wearing out quickly I cannot see how I would stop loving them (time will tell). Even though I am cheap, I consider this money well spent.

i love these earphones. the reproduce sound very very well and manage to do so with tons of bass. just like i like it. and i'm always dancing around or running or just freaking out, and these boogers manage to stay put.

however, the cord naturally winds itself back to its coiled position. which means that the listener must attach the clip to their shirt collar to prevent being choked by the cord. what's worse is that if you are on the go and have the earphones threaded through your shirt, but pull one or both from your ears, the coiling cord starts to have a tantrum and misbehave. also, the coiling cord will eventually and inevitably self destruct.

these will only last one year with heavy use. and sennheiser didn't replace mine like the guarantee said. so i've spent my own money twice on these (and i've also bought 3 other pair of the sennheiser twist to fit line). but i'll continue to do so until sennheiser either improves the durability of this product or somebody else makes an offering with superior sound & longevity.

don't blame me if the best option doesn't meet expectations.

Maybe these look a little hokey or goofy upon first glance, but they're truly great headphones. These headphones should fit most everyone (I'd say 80% of people) unless they are exceptionally small or exceptionally large. The headphones are sent with 3 sets of rubber ear coverings, so they fit an ear canal of almost any size. Noise reduction is fair, but you pay for what you get (I didn't expect the same as I do from my 0 Bose Quiet Comforts, obviously).

What I loved about these was that the cord is in the back of your head! No more swinging cord in your face to get in the way of your cardio workouts on the treadmill, stepper, or elliptical. I often would get my swinging arms caught in the cords, and be frustrated. Also, the webbing is adjustable for an optimal fit. Noise reduction, great adjustable fit, and rear cord all make for an excellent, bang-for-your-buck product. I can't recommend them enough!

Sony Mdr-As50G Active Style Spiral Neck-Band Headphones (Silver) Customer Review

I think the Sony MDR-AS50G is a terrific headphone for exercising. I do a morning walk/run, and regular in-the-ear headphones are fine when walking but constantly come out of my ear when running. I looked around and read the reviews, and chose these Sony headphones. I'm glad I did.

They stay in my ear very comfortably and don't budge during the running part of my workout. Unlike some other reviewers, I don't have a problem with the tension being too tight, but I suspect that differs from user to user. I'm barely aware I'm wearing them. Another feature that I appreciate is the short cord. It's perfect if you wear your iPhone, iPod or MP3 player on your arm, as I do. It's great not to have a 2 foot cord to deal with. If you need a longer cord because you use a treadmill or elliptical and don't wear an armband, the headphones come with a free extender.

Regarding fidelity, I listen to audio books on my iPhone and have the EQ adjusted for spoken word. For me, the audio quality is just fine, but I understand that if you're listening to music that the Sony's may be lacking. They appear to have a shade less bass than my previous headphones, but to be clear, I'm judging them on audio books, not music.

One criticism I'd offer of the AS50G would be that the ear loop--the part that goes up from the ear bud and over your ear--could be just a touch higher. I find it just grazes the top of my ear and I can see how that might be annoying to someone. I simply adjust them a smidgen and they're fine for me. My only other criticism would be the case, which is too large. The good news is that the headphones naturally return to a small, easy-to-pack circle. They do not retain the shape shown in the picture of the headphones in the ad, which is a good thing! Because of that, I have yet to use the case. These are a snap to pack, take up almost no room, and don't have a long cord to get tangled.

All in all, an excellent headphone for exercising. Stays put, seems impervious to sweat and rain, and has a short cord to connect to an armband so it isn't an annoyance during my workout.

I have tried so many different types of headphones out there...i workout at the gym and have long hair (female) and i also have small ear holes so all the earbuds i have tried were all too large and would fall out of my ears, or not fit in at all...yes i know that is weird but those are my ears...so finding earbuds was a very aggrivating task. I needed something that would fit, stay, not slide out when i am sweating, and have a good sound with the bass. I was in walmart today and said well let me try another pair because the ones i have now are no woking out to well..so i got them...i have had them in my ears listening to my ipod for the last six hrs. i hardly know they are in my ears. because of the wrap around design the stay put...and i was surprised..i can hear the base...it is not as strong as i would like but these things are in my ear i think this is enough...i need to be able to hear my grandkids one day...lol...i got on amazon to send my husband links to what i want for Christmas and low and behold i saw these for cheaper than walmart...shoot...but because i finally found some good ones i still wanted to write a review....i would have gotten then from amazon if i knew they were here....i have the free shipping.. :)well i am off to bed...with my ipod...yay!!!!

I tried all the different sizes provided, but the earphones still become uncomfortable after more than an hour of wearing (the part that "locks" the earpiece in your ear). I was a bit skeptical about custom earbuds at such a low price, but not for long! I have molded 2 pairs (one blue pair and one beige) over the past couple of years and I am thoroughly impressed by the product.

Before Ear Fuze, I had trouble with poorly fitting ear buds to the point where one would fall out while running and wind noise while riding a bike was so bad that I had to crank up the volume to hear my music. But as soon as I molded my new Ear Fuze, I knew they were a winner. Here's what I like:

--Amazing fit with no hot spots and no adjustments to make. It's easy to forget that you're wearing ear buds at all.
--Great sound. I was worried about sub-par sound quality, but these babies have good highs as well as bass. Again, very impressed.
--Simplicity. It was as easy as advertised to mold these ear buds. In about 20 minutes total time (including reading directions, watching the online video, etc, I had custom fit ear buds).

The best part: they're totally affordable.

What I didn't like:

--About the only complaint I had when I first got these was the fact that they cancelled so much noise on busy roads that I was in my own little world while running/riding with them. Now I ride with only one side in on busy roads.

I use Ear Fuze while mowing the lawn or working out in the gym too. I can block out the gym's music and easily hear my own tunes without blasting the volume.

Need I say more? These things are the bomb!

These headphones are by FAR the most incredibly amazing low-cost headphones I have ever used. Not only that, but they COMPLETELY beat out most headphones I've tried that were more expensive. The sound quality is perfect, and only just BARELY starts to waver when you completely max out the volume (and I do mean completely).

Their durability is also uncanny. I have already bought these headphones twice (lost them once, and the second time they lasted me at LEAST two years), and am about to buy them a third time. That yellow "pull relief" thing works wonders. Is it possible to find headphones of better quality than this? Of course, but I daresay not without spending at least more. For only , these win in my book, no competition.

They are also extremely comfortable. My ears would only just barely start to get uncomfortable after a few HOURS, which is much more than can be said for every single other pair of headphones I've ever worn. The way they wrap around the head is very convenient, so that even leaning your head back against a chair while wearing them is comfortable.

Overall, these are a steal. Bought 'em twice, and about to buy 'em again. For , you will NOT be disappointed. :)

Philips SHS8000 Premium Sound Earhook Headphones Customer Review

I bought these to listen to music and talk radio while jogging. My ears stick out kind of like Howdy Doodie so I have a hard time finding earbud headphones or bluetooth headsets that will stay in my ears. These fit great and stay put. The three different bud sizes help. Also since there's no foam/sponge they don't absorb sweat.

The sound quality is decent, but not audiophile. It doesn't make me want to rip them out so it's pleasant enough. Since these are in-ear bud you need to stick them into your ear canal in order to get any bass. I suspect that reviewers that complained about the lack of bass didn't get a good seal from the earbud and would probably be happy if they just tried one of the larger buds included. I like plenty of boom-boom music and they're good enough for me.

The best part is that the rubber earbuds are VERY comfortable. I usually hate the type of headsets that have to be inserted into your ear canals, but these are great even after a long run. The rubber part is super pliable and soft. This has another pleasant effect of blocking background noise pretty well. When running I don't have to crank it up to drown out the sounds of traffic next to me.

A+ for comfort, A+ for construction and design, B+ for sound quality. I would buy them again!

I am very pleased with this product. I have 2 separate sets of the sports line earphones made by Sennheiser and am just amazed at the sound quality. I have used Bose earbuds that a friend has and I feel these have very comparable sound quality but at a very small fraction of the price of the Bose. Also the adjustability of the ear hooks is a very nice feature. Most of the cheaper range earphones have a hard fixed plastic ear hook. These are malleable to adjust for comfort.

I have had v-moda earbuds for several years. I absolutely love the sound and the comfort they provide. It's almost impossible for me to enjoy hearing music any other way at this point.

Like other customers, I have seen serious problems with durability, but at the same time, I have been very, very happy with the warranty support that the company has offered. I've had a number of pairs die on me (usually around 9 months), but v-moda stands behind their product like no other company I've dealt with. They honor their warranty quickly, easily, and without hassle. Over the years, I've returned several pairs and have always received a brand new replacement within a few days.

One thing I've noticed is that the company is continually re-engineering and improving this product. While I have experienced defects over the years, I've also seen every one of those things addressed in specific improvements to the original design.

Overall, these are great headphones (albeit a little tempermental) made by a great company that stands by its product, continuously improves its design, and treats its customers with respect.

I love my vibes and recommend them highly. I don't think I'd even consider earbuds from another company.

I'm a little surprised at how many bad reviews these things are getting. Now, I have to admit that I don't buy these for audiophile purposes nor do I get them to be able to listen to music while exercising and what have you. I'm a daily commuter in a big city and just want some sturdy headphones to help me drown out some sounds on the way to school. In terms of ear-bud like headphones, I've yet to find a better pair. Personally, I have problems with standard ear buds. Even if they feel comfortable, I'm always convinced they'll fall out. Not so with MDR-J10s. The clip may feel a little strange at first, but you quickly forget you're even wearing them. As I've said, I'm not using these to work on my next masterpiece, but I personally find the sound clear and balanced. My favorite aspect, however, is how sturdy these things are. I use them practically every day for at least an hour or so, with a strong tendency to play my music quite loudly, and the MDR-J10s still tend to last me around 8 months!

For the cheap price, these are perfect for the casual listener.

I bought these because I was fed up with having to adjust my earbuds every minute or so when running. In that respect, these "Sport" earbuds are great- not once have they come loose. Whether I'm lifting weights, out running, or even biking in the wind, these buds just stay in.

As far as the sound goes, it's okay. Certainly better than stock buds, but you can tell there's a deficiency in the sound quality. As compared to my Sony MDR-EX75 earbuds, these have tinny highs and the bass isn't as rich.

Once ancillary point: the buds arrived from Sound-Squared (the manufacturer I assume) without a box or product guide. They were simply sealed in an airtight bladder and encased in bubble wrap. Definitely safe for shipping, but it felt a little unpolished. I suppose I should be happy, because the packaging uses few materials and is likely to be very environmentally friendly.

I haven't read all of the reviews for this because it would be a little bit insane.

I have had these headphones for about 2+ years now, the truth is that I don't even remember when I bought them, I know it was for one of my bdays, so for sure it has been at least TWO YEARS but it could be more.

First off, let me say that I am not an "abuser" of headphones, but if your definition of abuse is stomp and treat your headphones badly then I hope you find some headphones out there for you (there has to be some...at least they should make them). I also moderately exercise but should say that I wear my headphones EVERYWHERE, I am one of those types of people who NEED music constantly to drown out either STREE NOISE or people-noise, I rode the bus for a year (two connecting buses back and forth from my house to go to college in downtown Denver) and I walked to and from classes that were on opposite ends of campus. With that out of the way let me describe what I HAVE done to these:

- Put them in my pocket (almost all of the time) as well as my messenger bag (I'm female but I am not a girly girl). They DO coil, but I will include a costumer picture on how I kept them from uncoiling too bad (this doesn't let me link to pictures).

- I have ran/walked with them, outside, inside on the treadmill, and in different weather, snow/cold, and summer heat (CO). I say this because they are very sweat resistant compared to all the other headphones/earphones/earbuds I have tried.

- After two years, you would think these things would fail, but the sound is STILL unparallel to any other headphones I have tried, including these : Sennheiser OMX50 Street Line Flexible Stereo Clip-On Earphones; on that note these made my ears have zits/bumps that hurt, but maybe it's just my ears.

To be more precise:

- The protection where the cable ends and the plug-in connector begins does unstick, but that only happened to me 1.5 yrs after I bought them, I simply force it together and it sticks back up (I think either superglue or tacky glue should work on them however).

- I lost one of the small cushions on my right earphone, for the life of me I cannot find the extra ones, and even then the things still WORK, and the sound is good.

- I haven't experienced ANY tears on the wire-covering, none, whatsoever, and maybe it's just how I TAKE CARE of them, but it's not EXTREME in any way, at all (I don't treat them like I treat my mp3 player).

- I have to say that it took me about three days to get used to the way these earphones fit. They did hurt for a bit because my ear wasn't used to having something inside, but after that period it was like I didn't have anything on.
NOTE: IF your ears are weirdly shaped or you just can't get used to the earphones in a week I would say just find another pair, it's not worth it to suffer pain for + shipping, when I bought these they were above so I had a bigger incentive.

What I would recommend for people (other than the picture I will upload) is that they CLEAN THEIR EARPHONES, it's easy to open up the cushion pads around the earphone, just do that and have a q-tip with RUBBING ALCOHOL (Sometimes they label it Isopropyl Alcohol) and just clean all the gunk out of there. It helps and it's sanitary :).

* Another note is that I use these earphones still (I WIll buy another pair soonish), I started using them when I had a CD/MP3 player (yes one of those old big round ones no one uses anymore), then I bought a cheap mp3 player at MicroCenter, that died, and now I have a Mini Sansa player (pictured in the customer pic), that SEEMS to be dying, but the earphones are still going.

I have tried many many earphones, among them cheap earbud ones from sony, from panasonic, as well as over-the-ear ones. I looked many years before I decided to try these ones.

They are not a perfect fit for everyone, like I said if they hurt for too long change to others. However, if you are looking for a good pair that does not move while you exercise/move places and has good quality sound I would highly recommend these.

This is exactly the type of product I was looking for when I bought my Nike+ Sport kit. Yes, they are bass heavy. And yes sometimes they do sound distorted. But the point is at this price it is a real bargain. The best way to make these work is to play around with the EQ settings of the player. I have a COWON which provides a lot of EQ options. After working with the EQ these have opened up really well. Truth to be told I like bass as long as it is not distorting at higher frequency. And these dont have that problem once you are done with the EQ. Also the comfort level is worth mentioning. They are very very comfortable. The angular design really works wonders. But I havent tried the Image S4 yet. Will try them shortly. Then decide which one is the keeper.

Well I have both of them and the winner is obvious. Image S4 is a acoustic miracle. Sorry Radius.

If you are unsure which headphones to pick for workouts try these. I have tried many and these are the best fit I have found; most likely because they are able to adjust to your ears with the different hinges. They do not wiggle out of your ears while running and you have to literally knock/pull them in order to take them out of your ears. Bottom line, I recommend these because they fit well and have a good sound quality.

Pros:
Very comfortable, even with extended use
Cord length just right
Great sound quality in quiet to moderate-volume environments
SOLID case--will survive almost any abuse
Not flashy--great if you don't want to get mugged!

Cons:
Expensive--you're basically paying extra for the case
Putting these away properly is tedious and a hassle if you're in a hurry
Harder to hear in very noisy environments

These survived several years in the backpack of a high school/college student. Even textbooks couldn't crush the case! Also, the case was great for protecting the cord from my cats, who have eaten many other cords. I just wish I hadn't left these in a foreign country. B+ overall.

Sennheiser CX380 Sport Series II Noise Isolating Earphones Customer Review

Let me start by saying I am a confessed bass head; with that out of the way, I would like to say the bass on these are as good or better than most earphones around this price range, but I want more! Besides the bass being a little disappointing (for me at least) the sound was overall clear.

I use these ONLY when I workout and it does a good job isolating the sound. The wrap-around cable works OK by keeping it away from the front when I do upright exercises, but when I lie on the bench the cable behind my neck usually rubs between the bench and my neck and pulls the earphones out of my ear. I usually tuck excess cord into my armband so it doesn't get caught on my weights.

Pros
- Removable tips (comfortable)
- Isolates sound
- Sound quality is very good (even though I'd like more bass)
- Despite being yellow and me sweating all over it, it still looks clean!

Cons
- Like most in-ears there is some microphonics
- Wrap around cord isn't a perfect solution for staying out of your way while working out, still pops out sometimes
- Carrying case is junk compared to the ones that come with Ultimate Ears, Westone, etc. it uses a very small magnet to close and the rubber its made of attracts dust and hair, yuck!

Overall, I do not regret buying these; definitely a good choice for the gym, especially if you don't want to bring your 0 Westones to the gym!

This head phone is truly wonderful. Lives up to the Sony Audio brand. It delivers audio quality, product quality and design elements far above the line of acceptance for the given price range.

Pros:
- Ergonomics : Feather light, I don't even feel that I am wearing anything over my ears (other than my glasses - yeah! Sony designers kept us in mind ). Does not pop off like the ear-buds do. Not to repeat the other engineering qualities that other reviewers noted ...

- Audio quality : Comparable to other Sony products in this price range. That is, extremely pleasant, has a wide dynamic range, virtually free of any noise.

These are good headphones for working out and outdoor activity. They are great for running as well as snow skiing, weightlifting, and hiking. I used these headphones regularly for 5 years before accidently washing them in a load of laundry. Oops! Unfortunately, they didn't fare too well immersed in water for 30 minutes.

As an older model, the prices have come down considerably. If you can afford it, I would recommend upgrading to the orange sibling Sennheiser PMX80. Compared with the 70 series, the 80 series is built slightly better. The plastic used is durable and better balanced, fit is improved, sound quality is enhanced, and the added shirt clip is helpful.

If you are looking for excellent sound quality, then go explore Bose and Shure Earphones. The Sennheiser PMX70 headphones are intended for sports and activity. The sound is good/solid but not excellent, probably due to making them water resistant. It is not quite noise cancelling, but just enough to get you focused on your workout.
